If you need to update the date and time on the Ingenico ICT220 credit card terminal, this is how you do it.

To start, remember that if you make changes on the terminal (i.e. “the terminal level”) that is very different than changing the parameters within the actual file build.

In order to change the file you need to get in touch with customer service (of your merchant services provider) so they can reprogram your credit card terminal.

For now, we can instantly update the date and time and it will take effect immediately.

Here’s how to do it.

FEATURED VIDEO

To get started, hit the “F” (i.e. Function) key from the main menu.

Type in the password which is:

1 – 2 – 3 – 4 – 5 – 6 – 7 – F

It’s not guaranteed that this password will work since there are multiple programs that can be loaded into this terminal. If it doesn’t work, you’ll need to call your merchant services provider to get the correct password, and then proceed.

This will take you to the Functions menu and you’ll hit <0> (zero key).

  1. Next hit number <3> for initialization
  2. Next hit number <1> for parameters
  3. Last, select the Date and Time option by hitting the green <enter> key

Choose the option you want between “set date, “set time” or “date format.” by hitting the green <enter> key.

To set the date, just type in the 2 digit month, the 2 digit day and the 4 digit year. Don’t forget to hit <enter> to confirm.

To change the time, just arrow down to the time option and type the time in 24 hour format. Don’t forget to hit <enter> to confirm.

Finally, there is a date format option, which gives you the ability to select the way the date displays or reads to you on the idle screen.

In order to confirm and save changes, just hit the red <X> key a couple times and when it says “print param receipt ?” you’ll confirm with the green <enter> key. Confirming to print the parameters sheet is optional, and if you elect not to print, just tap the red <X> key.

Closing

That’s all there is to changing the date and time on the Ingenico ICT220 credit card terminal.
